Beds:
Sheets are included. In the summer we provide light blankets and in the winter you will stay warm with a heavier quilt.
Kitchen:
The kicthens are fully equipped.
We do not have microwaves or television.
The communal kitchen has ovens.
Cottages and double rooms are provided with towels.
Heating:
In the winter the buildings are heated with wood stoves..
Firewood is included.
There is a separate charge for gas heaters.
Pool: The pool is open all year round.

The high season for climbing is May to October. In spring and fall the south facing cliffs can be quite hot. The Gorge and Desplomilandia are both in the shade and are advisable on hot days.
Rental Cars:
A car is not a necessity, but is very useful for shopping excurions and to broaden your climbing options, especially during the hot season. Walking times to arrive at the climbing sectors range between 10 minutes and 1 hour. A car will usually take at least 15 minutes off your travel time. The rental cars reserved through the Finca can be picked up at the airport.
Climbing Gear: 60m rope is required, but a longer rope is better. 15 quickdraws. Helmet and a small rack for some multi-pitches. There is a climbing shop right in El chorro Tel: 0034 2495218 ask for Andreas.
Climbing Access:
Walking times to arrive at the climbing sectors range between 10 minutes and 1 hour. A car will usually take at least 15 minutes off your travel time.
Banks and ATM's: The closest banks and ATM machines are located in Álora and Valle de Abdalajís. The bank and post office hours are from 9am to 2pm Mo to Fr.
TRAIN
Take the local train or bus from the airport to Málaga main station. They leave about every half hour. From Málaga's main station, there are regular trains to Álora and El Chorro. The train to El Chorro leaves Málaga at 7.15 p.m. If you don't make this train take the next one to Álora (every hour) and then take a cab from Álora to El Chorro (20EUR). CAR
From the Airport
The drive to El Chorro will take approx. 1 hour. The distance is 58 kilometers.
1. From the Airport go past the San Miguel Brewery on your right and follow highway N340 in the direction of Cadiz-Torremolinos.
2. Take the very first turn on your right where you see a sign saying Coin/Parador de Golf. Follow this road until the second round-about. Turn right towards Churriana.
3. Follow the signs to Cartama until you hit the higway coming from Málaga.
4. Follow the highway. After about 8 kilometers you go over the Río Grande river. Continue on this road for about 5 more kilometers until you see the sign for Álora on your right. Follow the sign to Álora/El Chorro. Stay on the main road, passing another sign (Alora FCC) along the way, until you arrive at the Restaurante Los Caballos where you turn immediately left.
5. Go along this road for about 1 km and then at the first round-about take the left to Álora. Continue on this road into Álora until you come to a traffic light where you turn right towards El Chorro. From here to El Chorro is about 12 kilometers.
6. Cross the dam, pass the bar at the train station on your left, and follow the signs to FINCA LA CAMPANA.
From Antequera:

From Antequerra, follow the signs to El Torcal. In front of the bull ring, head uphill following the sign to El torcal/Álora. 2km outside of town, you arrive at a junction where you turn right to follow the sign to Álora-Valle de Abdalajís. At the start of the town of Valle de Abdalajís, turn right and follow the sign to El Chorro. (It is not neccessary to continue all the way to Álora first.) Follow the windy, bumpy road for 7km. After a steep descent, you will see 4 cottages on your right and a sharp left hand turn. Take the left and follow the signs to Finca la Campana. If you miss the left hand turn, you will arrive at the tiny town of El Chorro which is 800meters beyond. In this case, just turn around and head back to the junction.

The climate of Andalucía is typical for the mediterranean and very mild. The hot summer lasts almost 9 months on the Costa del Sol and the regions to the east. The temperatures in July and August can get up to 40ºC (104ºF). The rainy season is from November to May. The night time temperatures in winter can get down to 8ºC (46ºF).
It only really gets cold from December to February, and still the day time temperatures generally exceed 20ºC (68ºF).
The main climbing season is from October to May. In the spring and fall, it is at times very hot on the south facing cliffs. The Gorge and Desplomilandia are in the shade and ideal for the hotter days.
